GitFuse operates entirely within your browser and does not transmit any personal information

GitHub Token Handling
The extension requires a GitHub Personal Access Token solely for authentication with GitHub's API.
This token is:
- Stored locally: Encrypted and stored securely in your browser using Chrome's storage API
- Device-specific encryption: Protected with AES-GCM encryption using device-specific keys
- Never transmitted: Never sent to any third-party servers or external services
- GitHub API only: Used exclusively to fetch your PR data from GitHub's official API
- User-controlled: You can remove or change the token at any time through the extension settings
What We Don't Do
GitFuse does not:
- Track your browsing activity, location, or personal communications
- Collect analytics or usage data
- Share, sell, or monetize user data in any way
- Use cookies or tracking pixels
- Store data on external servers
- Require account creation or personal information
Data Security
- All sensitive data (GitHub tokens) is encrypted using industry-standard AES-GCM encryption
- Encryption keys are unique to your browser installation
- PR data is cached locally for performance but never leaves your device
- No network connections are made except to GitHub's official API
Third-Party Services
GitFuse only communicates with:
- GitHub API (api.github.com): To fetch your pull request data using your provided token
- Chrome Extension APIs: For local storage and browser functionality
No other third-party services are used.
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all data stored by the extension in Chrome's developer tools
- Deletion: Remove the extension to delete all stored data
- Modification: Update your GitHub token or settings at any time
- Portability: Export your settings if needed (stored as JSON in Chrome storage)
